Aubusson
tapestry weaving is a real art creation
You will admit that aubusson tapestries are
truly art once you see the real pieces and
particularly you see the weaving by
yourself.
These amazing pieces show vivid images of
sceneries, animals and human figures. You
will be shocked by the details and there are
many more to surprise you with. For example,
aubusson rugs would contain 20 -30 colors
usually while aubusson tapestries would have
nearly 100 colors in each piece!! Weavers
shift the yarns of different colors
constantly to achieve different parts of the
tapestries. A minor mistake would result in
mistakes of wrong colors when finished. And
one skillful weaver could only weave 0.5
square feet per day!! Who doubts that's the
creation of art?!
