Up charge

14.Is there any up charge for custom orders? and how much?

• Raised cost
  To make custom orders including custom sizes, custom colors, custom designs, the same sized new cartoons  would be added. The up charge is to cover the salaries paid for our designers to draw the same sized cartoon by hand. It usually takes 15 to 40 days depending on the size of the cartoon and the design itself.  Salaries for designers are much higher than the weavers. But rest assured that we only take the costs and no profit would be added.
  
  Therefore, please try to avoid the up charge by choosing our ready designs in the standard sizes below,
  
  Aubusson rugs
  Rectangular: 3x5, 4x6, 5x8, 6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14
  Round: 6x6, 8x8
  Runner: 2.5x6, 2.5x8, 2.5x10
  
  Aubusson tapestries
  Fixed sizes shown on the catalogue page
  
  And bear in mind the up charge when quoting to your customers for custom orders.
  

• Up charge
  For a custom Aubusson rug or a custom needlepoint rug, the up charge is CNY5/sqft or 53.82/sqm. 
  
  For a custom Aubusson tapestry, it would be CNY35/sqft or CNY376.74/sqm.  Please always have this in mind when quoting to your clients. The cartoon costs are subjected to the latest salaries paid to the designers to draw them.

• A good luck
  Sometimes, when we happen to make a custom size for our designs before, we will have the cartoon of that size available.  So when you are demanding the same size, you will be lucky to avoid the cartoon charge as it's there.  And in return, your custom cartoon of our designs would benefit others as well.  So the world keeps the balance.:)
